Meet the Artist

Lauren Avery Hutton

Art that uplifts, enlivens, and shapes the spaces we inhabit.

Lauren Avery Hutton is the artist behind Avery Art, a Seacoast NH studio dedicated to creating fine art that feels intentional in thought, elevated in form, and designed to belong in beautifully curated interiors.

With an artist’s eye and a designer’s sensibility, Lauren partners closely with interior designers, art consultants, and curators to create custom work that integrates seamlessly into thoughtful spaces. Her art is never an afterthought. It is a foundational element of design, shaping the atmosphere of the room and enhancing the experience of those who live within it.

Her global perspective, shaped by 18 years living in England and a lifelong love of travel, brings depth and story to her work. Now based in Exeter, New Hampshire, Lauren paints from her downtown studio, creating art that resonates far beyond its canvas.

“While I paint for myself, it’s vital that my work be uplifting and environmentally enhancing to others. Interior spaces are where art helps us regenerate. Art is critical to soul enhancement and emotional well-being.”

Lauren Avery Hutton

Creating Art with Intention

Working primarily in oil and watercolor, Lauren’s process is deeply instinctive and immersive. She begins with her own photography, capturing the interplay of light, color, and atmosphere. Her paintings evolve through layered textures and pigments and a period of reflection she calls her “Percolate & Ponder” stage, allowing the work to unfold organically, with texture and depth that brings each piece to life.

Lauren’s distinctive style blends rich textures, luminous palettes, and a quiet movement that fills spaces with energy. Her recent explorations of Skyscapes, Waterscapes, and Sandscapes offer abstract expressions of nature’s ever-changing beauty, designed to complement curated interiors with a sense of fluidity and timelessness.
